Nosy Faly is a small island northwest of Madagascar, separated from the larger Nosy Be by a narrow channel. The geographic isolation has concentrated a deep, saturated red body coloration in the local panther population — different in tone from Ambanja red and richer in pigment than most mainland lineages.
Captive Nosy Faly bloodlines are uncommon and most US-available animals trace to a small handful of founders imported decades ago. If you find a true Nosy Faly with documented lineage, expect to pay a premium and to wait — well-bred Nosy Faly subadults are often spoken for before the breeder lists them publicly.
